What we run
Each age group is a little longer and a little harder than the one below, so nobody arrives at the next level unprepared. Boys climb five rungs, girls three, and both end in the same place.
Senior
Senior Women’s Division League
The same structure for women’s District Association sides. Squads come out of the same open trials as everyone else’s.
Boys
Boys Under‑23 Championship
The step between age-group and senior cricket, for players who need more overs before they make the jump.
Boys Under‑19 Championship
The age group selectors watch hardest. Longer formats, heavier workloads, full match conditions.
Boys Under‑16 Championship
A player’s first full-length competition. District squads are picked from open trials.
Boys Under‑14 Development League
Competitive cricket to start with. Short formats, managed workloads, and everyone gets a bat and a bowl.
Girls
Girls Under‑19 Championship
Where the selectors look hardest. Longer innings, full match conditions, and the last age group before the senior league.
Girls Under‑15 Championship
The first organised cricket most girls play. Grounding in the basics, plenty of time in the middle, workloads kept light.
Season calendar
Dates, draws, results
The office issues the season calendar: tournament windows, entry deadlines and the draw for each age group. It goes up on the notice board before the season starts.
Once a tournament starts, fixtures and results are posted against it and kept current. Entry deadlines are firm. A side that misses one doesn't get slotted in afterwards, because the draw has already been built around the entries we had.

Regulations
The standing rules
Full playing conditions come with each season's circular. These rules apply across every CAUP competition, every year.
- Registration first. Only registered players take the field in an association competition.
- Age verification. Your age group follows the documents checked at registration, against the cut-off date in that season's regulations.
- One team per season. You play for one team per competition, unless the association approves a transfer in writing.
- Neutral officials. The association appoints umpires and scorers. The competing sides don't.
- Workload limits. Junior age groups are played under spell and over limits set for that age.
- Conduct. Players, team officials and spectators are all bound by the code of conduct. Breaches go to the committee.
